The Lumipen and LumipenPro were designed by Dr Steven Warnock, a plastic surgeon with more than 20 years of practice experience.  Lumipen and LumipenPro were invented to address difficulties in surgical illumination in enclosed spaces with limited visibility.  They specifically address issues related to pocket dissection in breast augmentation and secondary breast surgery.  They also address the need of surgeons to control costs in the operating room, eliminating the need for expensive lighted retractors and headlights.  Anyone who has used a headlight understands the neck strain and discomfort associated with wearing such a device for long periods of time.  Lumipen and LumipenPro provide a cost effective alternative for the busy surgical practice.
